Reviver offers digital license plates that automatically handle vehicle registrations and maintenance alerts. While it has a consumer offering, Reviver is best positioned for commercial fleets.
While battery-powered plates are an option, its wired plates include GPS and other telematics, providing fleet geofencing, tracking, and management services as well as registration and other legal compliance services.
The plates use e-ink technology that can withstand power outages and accidents, while also allowing for changing license plate numbers and other data upon the sale of the vehicle.
With Reviver, managers can register an entire fleet with a single transaction. For municipalities, Reviver can help manage and track fleets (for example, of police vehicles), as well as providing digital parking meter services built into the plate.
Reviver puts all data in the cloud so that in the unlikely event of a compromise of a plate, little information is vulnerable. In fact, Reviver is more of a cloud-based data company than a hardware vendor (as is the case with many IoT businesses).
