Speakeasy offers developers an automated API interface creation and documentation solution specifically designed to reduce the amount of oversight needed to responsibly scale and maintain large fleets of APIs and their associated SDKs.
This recently emerging startup set out to build a self-service API platform engineering toolkit just for making APIs easier to publish and easier for downstream integration developers to consume, while agnostically integrating their output with other elements in the microservices developer’s toolchain such as API gateways, observability and testing tools, and service management solutions.
There’s a dev-guided AI aspect of the platform in the way it can for instance, generate libraries and docs from an OpenAPI spec or Terraform provider, or automatically make pull requests across several APIs if a common element needs updating, with a human developer approving any significant change before it is rolled out.
The solution can be used within the CI/CD pipeline or a GitOps framework, or run remotely to polish up APIs within airgapped development environments for sensitive development scenarios such as financial services or government work. There is also a freemium version for developer experimentation. No secret knock needed to try.
