Mozart Data: Platform Data Engineering for Business Intelligence

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Mozart Data’s platform integrates multiple products to provide the capabilities data engineers need to create ETL scripts, populate a data warehouse, and connect it to business intelligence dashboards.

Mozart Data connects a Snowflake Data Warehouse to any one or multiple data sources (using a library of several hundred connectors), supports SQL based transformation, data lineage, observability, and reverse ETL for APIs. Mozart Data also provides connectors to a wide variety of BI tools for accessing the data.

The platform supports low code, no code, and pro code style SQL development.

The idea is to automate and streamline a data engineer’s job as much as possible to get a working data warehouse up and running within a short period of time.

In that respect it seems like a “platform engineering” approach to data engineering.

Snowflake is the default data warehouse but you can connect Mozart Data to an existing data warehouse as well.

The product is hosted in GCP and delivered as a SaaS, with consumption based pricing for CPU and data use.
