Wallaroo: Deep optimization of ML data pipelines

Wallaroo Intellyx BCAn Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Since our last coverage of Wallaroo in 2022, the whole world was turned on its head by ChatGPT, with practically every vendor out there now claiming to incorporate some form of generative AI into their products.

Over this tumultuous year, Wallaroo has stayed out of that fray, by instead focusing on helping data scientists and engineers package models to run in hybrid cloud environments and optimizing machine learning data pipelines with the scale needed to operationalize AI.

Since most large enterprises have training data brought in from multiple sources in multiple cloud regions and data lakes, their SDK and platform acts like a sort of neutral expert tuning service for processing ML models that can prevent IP exposure or data leakage to any particular technology or AI vendor.

Deep integrations with the big cloud data vendors (Google Vertex, AWS SageMaker, AzureML, Oracle Cloud, Databricks ML) and kits for commonly used device chipsets and processors helps make the resulting pipelines easier to deploy “with a line of Python code” they say, from early prototype to production scale.
