Senser: Low-profile eBPF-based AIOps troubleshooting platform

SenserAn Intellyx Brief from KubeCon NA 2023

Senser offers a “zero configuration” approach to generating system and event data for observability, using eBPF as an entry point for its ML-based logic to graph out a topology of distributed system dependencies and API calls.

Continuous release cycles in cloud native development environments experience changes at a breakneck pace that can be hard to keep up with using standard APM tools. By mapping the Senser dashboard atop the most current possible image—production—and filtering data using AIOps, engineers can see significant sessions, events, and requests moving through the architecture, and drill down into configuration and compatibility issues.

Most customers would use their SaaS-based version to take advantage of the most current model updates, though there is an on-prem install version for regulated organizations. Discovered issues can be promoted as service requests or alerts in the customer’s ITSM or incident management tools of choice.
