EchoMark: Detect and Protect Against Document and Email Leaks

EchoMark prevents file and email leaks with invisible, personalized forensic watermarks, and appends a notice to the documents and emails it marks to discourage leakers.

The solution protects organizations against malicious and accidental leaks of sensitive and proprietary information by uniquely identifying and tracing individual documents and emails.

After a document or email is leaked, organizations use the EchoMark dashboard to identify who leaked it, even if a smartphone is used to transmit a photo of the document or email.

In addition, EchoMark appends a personalized notice to each marked email and document that  informs the recipient that EchoMark can trace the document or email back to them, which provides a visible deterrent for would-be leakers.

Organizations can use EchoMark to react to leaks by tracing them, but also to proactively prevent leaks by informing employees about the personalized notices.

While watermarking is frequently used to protect against unauthorized image copying, EcoMark uses new techniques to similarly protect against unauthorized document and email sharing.
