Anomalo: An AI-driven data quality platform

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

AnomaloEvery enterprise understands the need for testing and observability to find bugs in code and catch infrastructure failures—hopefully before they can hit production or affect customers. But who’s minding the store when it comes to the distributed data architecture that powers our critical applications?

Anomalo provides an AI-driven data monitoring and observability platform that continuously validates and monitors data in motion and at rest within cloud-based data warehouses, event streams, API requests and responses, data jobs, and conventional data stores, alerting teams of potential issues and pointing out the root causes of errors.

While there are a number of tools on the market that give engineers feedback on specific aspects of database quality, such as data ‘cleansing’ during a transformation, or setting metric thresholds to watch for database latency or performance issues, it would be impossible to write enough rules to predict all of the knock-on effects of schema changes, SQL requests, inaccurate values, missing data and more as it occurs across the extended data estate.

The platform offers a customizable dashboard for alerting, KPI analytics, and remediation work, but many users may not even know they are using Anomalo, as it can provide results to many other leading cloud and on-prem data platforms including Databricks (who is also an investor).
