Locofy: AI-Driven Front-End Low-Code Development

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Locofy uses generative AI to help front-end developers generate code from design artifacts, leveraging common web frameworks and user interface libraries.

Developers take Figma or Adobe XD designs and use Locofy to automatically convert them to working web pages. Locofy’s AI does about 80% of the work, leaving the remaining effort to the developers.

Locofy works with React, Gatsby, Material UI, Ant Design, and many other frameworks and libraries.

Locofy leverages a vast number of design-driven coding examples as training data for its AI. As a result, the tool is especially useful when building web pages that follow common patterns.

Locofy’s primary value propositions are reducing developer toil and accelerating development, thus reducing costs. As with other low-code tools, it also fosters greater collaboration among developers, designers, and product managers.

Locofy’s product is currently free, but the company is planning a paid subscription offering later in the year.
