SonicWall’s new SonicPlatform extends the vendor’s cybersecurity defense capabilities beyond the firewall that has been its core business for more than thirty years.
SonicWall recently acquired Banyan Security to expand its zero trust network framework and Solutions Granted to offer comprehensive support for the managed service providers (MSPs) that are their customers.
In addition to their traditional firewall business, SonicWall now also provides Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), comprehensive email security, and a SOC solution among its offerings.
The SonicWall platform also includes secure wireless access points, security for network switches, SD-WAN, and a VPN. Their goal is to cover as much of the network facing security landscape as possible, with a single pane of glass dashboard.
In addition they are providing threat hunting and attack response capabilities. The SonicPlaform targets data center, cloud, and hybrid network security requirements.
