An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
Since the last time we spoke with Metomic in May of 2023 they have expanded their list of integrations, including SaaS-based applications such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Notion, and Trello.
They have also added significant new capabilities to their platform for assessing and managing data leakage risk for SaaS applications.
Customers can integrate Metomic with their SaaS applications and scan them for potential risks of sensitive data loss. They can remediate these risks and use Metomic to enforce security policies, either provided by Metomic custom defined.
They find that visibility into the potential problem is a big part of the solution. Customers are not as aware of the SaaS based risks as they are of traditional data center risks. Visibility into the potential risks helps customers make decisions about what really needs to be protected and how.
It’s also important to help customers find the right balance between open access and completely restricted access, and associate user IDs with access policies such as the ability to block unauthorized access to PII data.
Metomic has also added AI capabilities to help determine document context, especially when labels may be missing or incomplete.
They find that improving productivity is a big selling point – helping deliver the business value of SaaS investments more quickly by implementing the right balance between protection and access.
