It was very interesting to write an article about the AI Summit of New York.

Everyone was trying to figure out the best use cases and revenue models for gen AI. Lots of discussions, lots of proposals, and a few that hit the mark.

The basic issue, of course, is the probabilistic nature of it. Because it is based on human language, gen AI applications can’t be as precise as computer language applications, and therefore gen AI applications represent something fundamentally new and different.

But some gen AI applications are starting to gain traction, such as coding assistants, complex document query, and data analytics chat.

And of course gen AI itself requires governance, security, testing, and safety controls.
