Kinnami: A data sharing and protection layer for the connected edge

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Kinnami Intellyx BC logoKinnami offers a secure, resilient data mesh for connecting multiple peer-to-peer edge devices and distributed systems, offering high availability and data recovery capabilities, whether or not a web connection is available.

Since our last coverage in 2023, Kinnami has improved upon its AmiShare platform with enhanced network visualization, management, and automation. Unstructured data such as images and sensor signals flow across ad-hoc device collections of low size, weight and power (SWaP) nodes, and the application systems and controllers that are authorized to access the network.

Incoming data is encrypted and fragmented across storage nodes for permissioned sharing, as well as reconstitution and recovery from an immutable copy if an interruption happens.

While this data mesh was already a natural fit for many government and military-related applications, other use cases from smart cities to connected factories and commercial drones are starting to appear.
