We last covered Zededa in February 2019. In the intervening time, the company has matured its platform as edge computing has come into its own.
Today, Zededa offers an edge computing orchestration and management platform that delivers applications and other workloads to various edge devices.
The Zededa platform includes a bare metal virtualization engine and a SaaS-based controller, providing edge infrastructure for solutions consisting of many thousands of edge nodes.
Zededa enables its customers to run a variety of AI inferencing engines on edge devices, while providing monitoring and updating capabilities for the software running on the edge.
Zededa also champions the Margo open-source project, which provides edge interoperability for industrial automation ecosystems.
