When we last covered Zesty in December 2022, the company’s offering focused on purchasing storage and compute cloud resources on behalf of its customers and then reselling them on an optimized basis.
The company now offers vertical and autoscaling specifically for Kubernetes on AWS (namely, EKS).
At the heart of the Zesty platform is ‘micro-forecasting,’ its ability to forecast changes in usage patterns quickly enough to scale up and down in a way that optimizes both cost and performance, what Zesty calls ‘advanced predictive scaling.’
Zesty takes advantage of AWS spot instances, reallocating resources within the two minute interruption notice window for such instances to avoid downtime.
The company is also able to scale up and scale down block storage by distributing data across volumes and then efficiently consolidating data to release blocks.
