Tricentis: Full-stack testing & validation with agentic AI teammates

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

TricentisTricentis offers a comprehensive agentic AI-driven platform for continuous test automation, test planning, data management, and code quality analysis for enterprise applications, web and mobile front-ends.

When we last covered Tricentis in 2020 (wow), they were already considered a top-tier vendor for enterprise-grade quality, with advanced tools covering everything from requirements to data validation and browser-based testing. They were first to market with their Vision AI that could recognize and recreate exercisable web applications from a screen shot.

Today’s Tricentis has jumped into agentic AI with both feet, producing a team of specialized task-oriented agents for test execution, scheduling, data integrity checking, and quality metric reporting that engineers can invoke conversationally or via API. Humans are still in the loop for ensuring that the resulting agent test output is relevant within the context of the business requirements of the application under test.

“A good agent should have inherent intelligence and solve problems. But what is the quality of tooling that it has access to? We want to give the agent capabilities to sandbox, run, and execute tests, as well as doing data analysis and research. Our agents are inherently powerful because they can use all of our testing tools and access them through an MCP server,” said David Colwell, VP of AI and ML, Tricentis.
