Deskpro is an established help desk vendor who is enabling its software with generative AI. Unlike its competition which is doing the same, Deskpro can run entirely on premises or in its customers’ virtual private cloud (VPC), accessing its customers’ internally hosted LLM of choice.
Supporting help desk interactions with AI is now a must-have for all help desk applications, and Deskpro is rising to the challenge. As a vendor with a mature product in the space, it offers all the features customers would expect, including omnichannel interactions, a unified inbox, numerous integrations, and a variety of customization options.
To differentiate itself in this crowded marketplace, Deskpro rearchitected its product along cloud native lines – only instead of containerizing it to run on Kubernetes, Deskpro’s engineers created a product-specific controller platform that provides the scalability and manageability of Kubernetes without the overhead or unnecessary capabilities of the more general-purpose Kubernetes.
As a result, Deskpro can run in the cloud as a SaaS offering, in a VPC, or on premises.
The VPC option relies upon the cloud provider’s infrastructure to secure unencrypted communications with LLMs hosted in its cloud, while the on premises option enables customers to host their own LLMs for fully encrypted interactions with the help desk software.
These hosting options differentiate Deskpro’s offering from competing products that require potentially insecure interactions with public LLMs.
