Congruity360: Leveraging Unstructured Data Classification for DSPM, Data Protection Cost Reduction, and AI Optimization

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

When we last covered Congruity360 in November 2024, the company offered lifecycle management for unstructured data with a three-phase classification process that reviewed metadata, analyzed the data security posture, and scanned content for sensitive information.

Today, data security posture management (DSPM) is a core Congruity360 use case, as enterprises seek to secure the holes in their threat surfaces that problematic unstructured data can introduce.

DSPM, however, is only one of the Congruity360’s differentiated value propositions. Its customers are also leveraging its data classification capabilities to separate corporate data useful for supporting AI initiatives from the rest of the data estate, including out of date, disused, or sensitive information inappropriate for AI purposes.

This ability to identify and separate useful data also reduces enterprise data protection costs, as organizations can leverage Congruity360 to identify which data are more important to back up regularly vs. archived or redundant data that require less frequent backups.
