vCluster: Bare Metal Machine Management on its Virtual Cluster Technology

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

We last covered Loft Labs (now doing business as vCluster) in April 2025, as it rolled out virtual container runtimes that isolated pods within each node on its virtual Kubernetes cluster technology.

Leveraging this technology, vCluster now offers vMetal, which provides a bare metal machine management layer that automates the infrastructure operations necessary to run a GPU-based cloud.

vCluster now offers a full stack for supporting AI native workloads on Kubernetes, including tenant and cluster orchestration, secure runtimes for AI workloads, and preconfigured AI environments, all running on bare metal via the vMetal machine management technology.
