An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
When we last covered CIQ in September 2023, the company was making strategic moves to establish its Rocky Linux distribution as the preferred flavor of Linux in the enterprise.
Today, CIQ continues to cement Rocky’s position as the enterprise Linux distro of choice via its RLC Pro offerings, including hardened and AI-centric versions.
RLC Pro Hardened is especially well-suited to government agencies and regulated industries that require Linux on bare metal that is always secure, up to date, and proactively protects against threats at the kernel level.
Included in this version of RLC Pro is cryptographic validation and post-quantum readiness, also at the kernel level. RLC Pro Hardened is FIPS 140-3 compliant and thus meets stringent US Federal Government security requirements.
Today, the demand for this level of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) support comes mostly from the US Government, but enterprises in regulated industries are rapidly coming to the realization that addressing post-quantum security requirements is becoming an increasingly urgent priority.
Given the broad enterprise predilection for Linux on bare metal, both for AI as well as sovereign infrastructure, deploying Linux with PQC built into the kernel is set to become a must-have across the entire enterprise landscape.
