An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
InfrOS discovers existing cloud infrastructure and incorporates various requirements documents to create proposed logical and physical infrastructure architectures that meet both functional and nonfunctional requirements. It can then generate infrastructure-as-code (IaC) artifacts and emulate selected architectures for testing purposes before deployment.
InfrOS is particularly useful for evaluating nonfunctional tradeoffs within the infrastructure, for example, scalability vs. cost. InfrOS can identify performance bottlenecks in existing infrastructure and detect existing application functionality to create proposed architectures that operators can emulate and deploy via IaC.
InfrOS is also useful for evaluating and implementing cloud switching initiatives as well as fleshing out optimal hybrid cloud strategies. Some customers also use it to support their VMware to cloud migration strategies.
InfrOS’s emulation technology is also sufficiently sophisticated to replace existing infrastructure sandbox offerings.
Intellyx hot take: InfrOS’s shift-left approach to cloud architecture is well-suited to support dynamic enterprise AI requirements, as well as other cloud infrastructure needs.
Intellyx cold take: InfrOS is focused on hyperscaler clouds but not on-premises infrastructure, which requires extensive bespoke effort to work with InfrOS. Enterprises with hybrid IT (cloud plus on-premises) infrastructure requirements may thus find that InfrOS is a poor fit for their needs.
