Graphite GTC: Lowering Low-Code/No-Code Vendor Lock-in Risk

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Most Low-Code/No-Code platforms require customers either to run their applications on the platform, or at the least, use the platform and associated tooling to maintain and update existing applications.

For many such platforms, the benefits to customers outweigh the risks – but there are risks. Since customers are essentially locked into their Low-Code/No-Code vendor of choice, that vendor can change its pricing arbitrarily, or even worse, leave its customers high and dry should it go out of business.

Graphite GTC addresses this lock-in problem by generating C# code that will run in any modern Microsoft environment (on premises or in the cloud on Microsoft Azure, for example).

For customers comfortable with the Microsoft centricity, Graphite offers a no-code visual user interface intended for professional developers, accelerating and streamlining their efforts. And while Graphite promises the generated C# code is “bulletproof,” developers can inspect or modify it if they wish.
