Neutrinos: A Low-code Platform Fighting Against Lock-in

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Low-code development platforms have been growing in popularity over the last several years. As they have, organizations are deploying them to solve ever more complex and critical use cases. As they have, however, are they risking getting locked-in to platforms that may not meet their needs in the future — and, if so, is it worth the trade-off?

Neutrinos believes that the answers to these questions are that, yes, the lock-in risk is very real, but that organizations do not need to decide between taking advantage of the benefits of low-code or avoiding lock-in. The company’s solution is its code-generating low-code development platform. The company states that all code generated by its platform is open source and thoroughly documented. Because of this approach, its clients can deploy that code anywhere they choose and do so wholly lock-in-free.

Moreover, the company believes that this code-centric model makes it more acceptable to professional developers and enables them to rapidly build data- and integration-centric applications using either the platform’s graphical interface or standard languages. The company claims that this approach also allows it to seamlessly co-exist within established IT development approaches such as DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile SDLCs.
