Cleo Update: On a Continuing Mission to Fix B2B Integration Across Ecosystems

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Since we last spoke to Cleo back in 2019, it has continued forward on its mission to, as it says, “fix B2B integration.” The company has long held that the traditional approaches to integration in a business-to-business have become too slow, immalleable, and fragile for a modern, ecosystem-driven world. It designed its Cleo Integration Cloud to solve this problem by abstracting each end of an integration and act as a private integration hub enabling an organization to fluidly interconnect its ecosystem.

The company has also understood that it must help organizations with internal connections to handle data coming from the ecosystem. Last year, the company introduced a new agent to streamline and simplify that process. The agent improves security and is particularly useful to help its clients connect legacy systems that may not have API access to their broader ecosystem.

The company also recently introduced improvements to its transformation engine to improve scalability and resiliency — something that became critical during the pandemic as transaction volumes skyrocketed for its clients. The company sees this increased resiliency and scalability as a competitive advantage because when organizations do not own both sides of an integration, the transformation engine, the company explains, must be “bullet proof.” It says that the result of its approach is a platform that delivers control, efficiency, choices, and accelerated time-to-value for its customers.
