An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Astera uses high level GUIs to define connectors and workflows that work with data from a variety of structured and unstructured sources to create reports, data warehouses, and integrations.
A kind of Swiss army knife of data connectors and mappers is available in Astera’s data management product suite, from ingestion to APIs, and business intelligence tools, for working with legacy data, modern sources, and documents.
Astera works with structured data, but also can extract data from PDF, Word, Excel and other documents, to create reports or store the extracts in a data warehouse.
Astera can also be used to integrate EDI documents with B2B workflows, and supports both ETL and reverse ETL scenarios.
One thing that sets Astera apart is its ability to quickly and easily map complex SQL relationships such as star schemas, joins, and common data items across tables.
Astera’s data Centerpiece data workshop easily combines these multiple sources of data into a single data warehouse – which Astera’s DW Builder can create for you.
Astera loads data and works with the data model as well to visually display and transform complex relationships. Their API Management tool can generate and manage APIs for accessing the data in a warehouse, as well.
All in all a full featured data management product for working with a variety of data formats within a broad range of solutions to organizational data challenges.
