An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
We last covered Spectro Cloud in May 2022, when the company expanded its full stack Kubernetes management to any cloud and any cluster, including on the edge.
To support its edge computing efforts, Spectro Cloud champions two open-source efforts: Kairos custom-bootable OS images for edge devices and LocalAI, an alternative to OpenAI that provides a replacement REST API for local inferencing on the edge.
Spectro Cloud has also added the ability to run production VMs in Kubernetes clusters, enabling organizations to automate large-scale migrations of VMs from VMware to Kubernetes.
