When we last spoke to triPica in June 2024, the vendor discussed its cloud native, SaaS-based platform that integrated all business support services (BSS) functions into a single, coherent API-based integration touchpoint with mobile service operators and utilities.
While triPica has traditionally served both the telco and utilities industries, it is experiencing increased interest from the utilities sector.
Utilities have similar product management, order management, revenue management and customer management challenges to telcos – the traditional functions of BSS, which explains triPica’s traction in the utilities marketplace.
The increased interest from utilities, however, is more about marketplace pressures. Both the mobile operator and utilities sectors are saturated: everyone who wants a phone has one, and the same is true for electric service.
Both industries, therefore, are looking to expand into the respective business of the other as a growth strategy. triPica is well-positioned to help companies in both industries succeed with this strategy.
