An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
When we last covered Britive in June 2024, the company offered a non-human identity (NHI) access control solution that managed individual privileges on an ephemeral, just-in-time basis. The platform assigned specific, temporary privileges to specific users or machine requests based upon policy.
Britive has now extended its support for NHI access control to AI agents by enabling agents to ‘impersonate’ or act on behalf of a human (or machine) identity as per the associated policies in force.
Britive assigns each identity a profile that reflects all the permissions associated with that identity, along with other relevant policies including expiration times.
Acting in response to a user’s prompt, an AI agent can check out the profile associated with the user and act on their behalf until the profile assignment expires.
All of the oversight and compliance capabilities that Britive had already offered for NHI access control extends to AI agents as well, giving organizations auditable control over agentic behavior.
