The Constat service runs in the EU, thus providing sovereign capabilities. The company built the offering for civil law in the Netherlands but is expanding to other countries across Europe.
Constat never replaces an attorney. Instead, it supports each attorney’s consultation processes but requires the attorney to approve everything that goes to a client.
Intellyx hot take: For Dutch civil attorneys worried about AI’s propensity for hallucination, Constat gives them a low-risk approach for leveraging AI to provide higher quality, more efficient legal services.
Intellyx cold take: Constat’s addressable market is quite narrow. Even as it expands across Europe, it will find that growth opportunities are limited.
