Ankra offers a platform for configuring and deploying AI-generated application runtimes on Kubernetes following GitOps practices, in other words, as declarative manifests and other metadata that automatically configure and deploy the application and its associated application infrastructure on Kubernetes.
With Ankra, code in a Git repository automatically becomes the running application, including database, cache, and autoscaling deployment and configuration.
In addition, developers can control Ankra’s deployments from within their chosen coding agent, either via MCP or directly in the agent via its CLI.
Ankra is agnostic with respect to cloud or on-premises infrastructure as well as flavor of Kubernetes. That being said, the company is rolling out its own cloud option for customers who choose it.
Ankra offers tiered pricing by virtual CPU, including two free options for individual users and ‘home builders’ (small startups), respectively.
Intellyx hot take: Many vendors are rolling out tools for deploying AI-generated applications in production, but Ankra is among the simplest and least expensive on the market.
Intellyx cold take: As a new entrant in this disruptive market, Ankra is primarily targeting individual developers and small businesses, despite the fact that its offering will be appealing to larger enterprises. However, to effectively target the enterprise market, the company will have to build out its security and governance capabilities.
