Hybrid Cloud
Hybrid Cloud refers to some combination of one or more public clouds, private clouds, on-premises virtualized environments, and on-premises legacy environments. We vastly prefer the term Hybrid IT versus Hybrid Cloud – keeping in mind that every organization is different and thus has a different combination of one or more of these environments and the term “Cloud” becomes less meaningful and doesn’t address the concept of workloads running wherever they are optimal.
However, Hybrid Cloud is still a hot IT topic right now, so we cover it.
Related Terms: Hybrid infrastructure, workload-centric, hybrid IT, hybrid datacenter, mixed IT environments
