Application performance management vendor Dynatrace today announced a merger with digital testing, monitoring, and analytics vendor Keynote, forming what they call the “most advanced user experience and behavior monitoring business in the world,” according to a press release.
Waltham Massachusetts-based Dynatrace became an independent company when it spun off from parent Compuware in late 2014, as investors took the two companies private. During 2015, Compuware has cemented itself as the leading independent mainframe tools vendor, while Dynatrace has been on a growth tear, announcing a record-breaking year ending March 31, with more than a thousand new customers and revenues in excess of $350 million.
Keynote is one of the leading vendors in the web and mobile testing space, a market that has also shown substantial growth over the last few years, as the rise of demand for mobile technologies drives enterprise digital investments.
Combining application performance management with web and mobile testing is a common pattern in today’s IT management market, with vendors like SOASTA and AppDynamics also combining the capabilities.
