The founders of Evanios wondered why organizations managed event monitoring and incident response in different systems — and if by bringing them together and applying a little machine learning they could predict events and their impact before they happened.

Built upon the ServiceNow platform, the Evanios approach is to fully integrate event management, automated incident resolution, predictive analytics and monitoring directly into a unified workflow. The result is an intuitive and seamless model that enables IT organizations to move past the arbitrary separation between event and incident management and instead focus on the management of services from a business value perspective.

The integration of event and service management data enables them to auto-provision monitoring capabilities according to customizable rules such as the discovery of a new CI or the completion of a service request. They then integrate their in-product event data with any other available monitoring data. This automated and holistic approach ensures that organizations can simply and efficiently maintain their monitoring capability.

That, however, is only the beginning. By enriching this multi-source event data with traditional ITSM data from CMDBs, change records and historical information on previous actions and impacts — and then applying machine learning algorithms — they can provide IT organizations with a broad range of proactive and predictive capabilities. This approach enables them to score events, predict impending events, automate root cause analysis, predict service impacts and even compare predicted and actual impact both during an event and afterward.
