Agys BlueFabric: Low-Code Process Development Platform Running on IBM BPM in the Cloud

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

The BlueFabric platform from Agys is a low-code development platform that focuses on complex business processes in banks and other enterprises. It runs on top of the IBM business process engine, which IBM now calls IBM BPM on Cloud.

BlueFabric’s particular focus is on what the vendor refers to as ‘long tail’ processes: processes that individually may serve fewer people than the most important processes in an organization, but which in aggregate account for a large percentage of total process execution.

IBM also competes in this niche of the market with its Blueworks Live process modeling tool, but is unable to offer the economics that BlueFabric brings to long tail processes. Instead, BlueFabric can import Blueworks Live models, thus filling an important gap in IBM’s business process capabilities.
