Can NetScout Get The Respect It Deserves?

Application and network management software vendor NetScout has been in existence since 1984, but has recently been on a tear, rising to the #7 position in this year’s Forbes Fast Tech 25.

It numbers most of the Fortune 500 as well as most large telecommunications carriers among its clients, but in spite of its track record, it’s hardly a household name.

Over the last few years it’s been on an acquisition binge, rounding out its product portfolio with several additions, including the largest, Arbor Networks. The Arbor acquisition essentially doubled NetScout’s size, and singlehandedly catapulted the vendor into a leadership position in the crowded cybersecurity space.

As NetScout proceeds with the integration of several disparate products, it is transforming from a company focused on wire data on the network to a full-fledged participant in today’s cloud-first, digital world.
