An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
With its 2018 deadline for compliance fast approaching, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is impacting how any company deals with information about EU citizens – even companies located outside Europe. The regulation calls for rigid privacy and data residency policy enforcement, and requires many companies to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) with specific duties.
To help companies address the challenges of GDPR compliance, Calligo offers its own public cloud that guarantees data privacy and data residency. In addition, the company provides a ‘DPO-as-a-service’ capability for organizations who wish to outsource the role.
In addition to its own cloud, Calligo can also run in a hybrid cloud configuration with AWS or Microsoft Azure, and it can run the Azure Stack, providing full Azure compatibility in its own cloud.
Calligo extends its offering beyond Europe, partly to help non-European companies comply with GDPR, but also to meet the need for data privacy and data residency requirements for other purposes.
