Augumenta: Low-Code Augmented Reality for Industrial Applications

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Augmented Reality (AR) has found its first killer app in Pokémon Go, but business applications are mostly still on the drawing board.

Augumenta is an exception. It has entered the world of industrial applications, in particular, factory floor operations.

Using its data-rich AR technology, factory line operators using special glasses can interact with virtual control panels that can appear anywhere. For most applications, controls appear on a blank, vertical backing that factories can mount anywhere they like.

The operator can then call up any controls they want and interact with them as though there were a physical control panel present.

In addition, Augumenta provides role-based access control, so operators only see the controls they have permission to see.
