Intellyx wrote about Baffle in February 2017, as it was in the process of bringing its innovative approach to data encryption to market.
Baffle’s secret sauce: the ability to process encrypted data without having to decrypt it. This technique resembles homomorphic encryption, but Baffle is far faster and can execute any operation on the data while homomorphic encryption only allows certain operations.
Baffle is now generally available as a cloud-based data encryption service, promising to protect confidential information even from insiders with bona fide credentials. Baffle also manages private keys, further reducing the attack surface.
