An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
Since we last wrote a Brain Candy on Versa Networks in June 2017, the vendor has doubled down on the security benefits of its SD-WAN solution.
One of Versa’s key differentiators in the crowded SD-WAN space is its software-only offering, which runs on reference hardware in corporate branch locations. This distinction simplifies management and upgrades of the technology as compared to appliance-based SD-WAN solutions.
This software centricity and zero-touch provisioning also enables Versa to lower the total cost of ownership for branch security. Its security offerings include next-generation firewall capabilities, malware protection, URL and content filtering, anti-virus, and DDoS protection, as well as next-generation VPN capabilities – all delivered via software-only provisioning and updates.
