Renacen: Bringing 3D Visualization Expertise to Airlines and the IoT

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Intellyx has been keeping its eyes open for bona fide enterprise applications of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. When we came across SeatMapVR from Renacen, we thought we had found such an example.

However, in spite of its name, SeatMapVR is more of a 3D visualization application, suitable for smartphone and laptop viewing more so than true VR.

SeatMapVR gives airline consumers a 3D view from any seat on a plane, including detail about seat obstructions, power ports, etc. Airlines are now lining up to implement the technology.

Renacen also offers 3D visualization application development services for IoT applications, for example, facility management apps for complex facilities like hospitals and stadiums. The technology gives the facilities manager a 3D representation of IoT telemetry in context, adding spacial meaning to otherwise obscure data.

Renacen also offers a VR and AR lab – so when enterprise use cases ever come along for these technologies, the company will be ready.
