The next level up from release management would be software lifecycle management: software platforms that orchestrate and automate various software-related processes across the entire lifecycle, from design through development and test, and then onto release and management.
Plutora takes this progression to an even higher level: software value stream management. Value stream management uplevels the idea of lifecycle management by focusing on the value the software provides to the end-customers that use the software.
By focusing iterative value stream management on customer value, organizations are able to streamline their software processes, focusing on the waste elimination core to the Lean approach.
