128 Technology: Redefining Business Service Delivery from the Router Outward

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

128 Technology logo - Intellyx Brain CandyAs the march toward redefining enterprise applications as loosely-coupled business services continues, 128 Technology took its knowledge of network routing and connectivity — then built a hybrid network, cloud and SD-WAN management solution from there outward.

Using a novel approach of ‘session smart routers,’ their solution allows sessions to maintain state and a sense of business logic to move within their secure software-defined network and interact with network-deployed applications and external services. This is done without the for bandwidth-limiting practice of tunneling between network domains, which optimizes the continuity of application sessions, monitoring and services such as voice and video.

“You shouldn’t need network gurus to deliver highly resilient and secure services to business users,” says Kevin Klett, VP of marketing and product management at 128 Technology. “Everything is managed through a single pane of glass, but users can think of application delivery in a uniform way — whether using services from the cloud, data center, or through the internet.”
