Mirantis: OpenStack and Kubernetes Delivered On Premises as-a-Service

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

While OpenStack and Kubernetes are open source, downloading, installing, and configuring them is no easy task. Furthermore, operationalizing either package – or heaven forbid, both at once – to run securely at scale is truly daunting.

Mirantis handles all of these challenges via a zero-touch ‘as-a-Service’ model for enterprise deployments of either OpenStack or Kubernetes installed on-premises.

All the customer needs to do is make the appropriate bare metal hardware available. Mirantis takes care of everything else – installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading the core packages as well as all the supplemental open source modules necessary to run the packages securely at scale.

Mirantis will even install Open Stack in containers for Kubernetes to orchestrate – a task that typically requires a team of a few dozen experts working full time.

Instead, telcos and enterprises are leveraging Mirantis to run full enterprise deployments of these packages at scale via nothing more than a simple provisioning interface.
