One of the goals of DevOps is to leverage automation across the entire software development lifecycle, but most such automation solutions focus primarily on release management and deployment.
Automating the post-deployment operation of applications has lagged behind the automation solutions available for other parts of the lifecycle.
AppViewX addresses this gap with a low-code platform for building and automating workflows across the end-to end application deployment.
The platform’s straightforward drag-and-drop interface enables non-developers to build and automate workflows for infrastructure configuration, network traffic flow, and security configuration, among others.
In particular, AppViewX has found substantial traction automating PKI certificate workflows, including certificate issuance and revocation, key management, and other workflows essential for the proper management and deployment of certificates.
Ideally, AppViewX customers have fully implemented DevOps, and thus their workflows cover many different aspects of the software lifecycle. But even for still-siloed organizations, AppViewX workflows can tackle individual tasks separately (assign IP address, issue certificate, configure firewall, etc.).
AppViewX then makes each automated task available in a service catalog for further orchestration, either via its low-code platform or directly via APIs.
