Tenable: Decimating risk exposure through vulnerability responsiveness

Tenable logoAn Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Tenable likely already has a presence somewhere in any CISO or security professional’s software suite with their ubiquitous Nessus security assessment product.

Unfortunately the attack surface of every company’s systems grows ever broader, encompassing hybrid cloud resources, edge computing networks, containers, open source components, mobile devices, IoT and so on. Well-publicized breaches are becoming common and costly, driving security concerns all the way up to the C-level and boardroom of major companies.

Tenable addresses these hybrid IT threat prevention concerns with their security platform, including the plays tenable.sc (on-prem) and tenable.io (cloud-managed service), as well as an industrial IoT and risk measurement dashboard (Lumin).

By continuously assessing vulnerabilities across the enterprise IT environment, these platforms can generate alerts and track the remediation of issues in development CI/CD pipelines, task management tools, ITSM and ITOM solutions, as well as elevating organizational responsiveness to configuration exposures and cyber attack risks.

In today’s threat-rich environment, anything less would be … untenable. [sigh, I had to.]
