Workato: Simple Integration Can Also be Powerful

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Typically, organizations have to trade off simplicity with power when leveraging integration technology.

Zapier, for example, offers dead-simple integration, but is too lightweight for most enterprise uses. At the other extreme, products like Salesforce MuleSoft are powerful enough for virtually any enterprise integration scenario, but requires a team of integration specialists and often weeks or months of work in order to build integrations that may have limited flexibility in the end.

Workato has long sought to carve out a niche in between these extremes. Its interfaces feature low-code simplicity, while its capabilities cover a wide range of enterprise integration use cases.

Workato offers hundreds of thousands of prebuilt ‘recipes,’ its name for lightweight, configurable connectors that address application and data integration tasks, as well as API orchestration and process automation capabilities.

Workato has also added artificial intelligence to the mix, both for suggesting the ‘next best action’ to people building workflows and other integration logic, as well as intelligent error handling that improves automatically over time.
