An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
To turn a traditional, on-premises app into a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) app, simply lift and shift it into a VM and you’re done, right?
If only it were that easy. In reality, taking an existing app and making it into SaaS is a complicated, multifaceted challenge.
Corent has risen to this challenge via its cloud-based platform that runs in AWS or Azure. The vendor can take any Linux, UNIX, or Windows-based app, and turn it into a fully multitenant, SaaS-based app without any programming.
Multitenancy is actually optional, as customers may require some or all app instances to run in their own VMs, while others run as multitenant SaaS.
Furthermore, Corent provides operations management interfaces both for the individual tenants and for the overall multitenant deployment.
If that weren’t all, Corent also offers commercial management for SaaS apps, including tiered subscription pricing and delivery suitable for managed service providers and other partners.
Corent’s secret sauce is its ability to scan the binaries for any app to gather all the metadata necessary to run the app as SaaS without modifying a single line of code of the original application.
