Kasten: Improved Security and Simplicity for Kubernetes Data Protection

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Since we last wrote about Kasten in December 2018, Kasten has doubled down on Kubernetes data protection, aka backup and recovery.

With the latest release of its K10 cloud-native data management platform, Kasten expands its security capabilities, including support for various Kubernetes authentication protocols, integration with AWS’s IAM roles, and fine-grained role-based access control (RBAC).

Kasten has also improved K10’s simplicity, both for day 1 (install) and day 2 (in production) uses. These improvements include an updated management interface and a Kubernetes-native API for programmatic control.

K10 also integrates with all flavors of Kubernetes, multiple different data services technologies, and native support for a variety of storage providers.
