Loom Systems Update: Sophie Combines Observability, IT and Business Data to Deliver AIOps Insights

An Intellyx BrainCandy Update

We’ve been covering Loom Systems for a couple of years now and have written about it twice previously (in 2017 and 2018). Since we’ve been covering the company, it has stuck to its knitting, while continually expanding its scope and reach.

This year keeps to that pattern. The company has recently released Sophie as its latest iteration of the predictive AIOps platform. While the platform continues to ingest and analyze log data (via unsupervised learning) to create models and identify potential and real-time service disruptions (what the industry is now starting to call observability), Sophie goes further.

The new iteration of the platform also ingests alerts from other alerting systems, change data coming from both DevOps and ITSM systems, and business metric data, to enrich its discovered insights, improve correlation, and provide context. The result is an even more comprehensive AIOps platform that enables organizations to anticipate and respond to potential disruptions throughout the customer journey before they have a negative customer impact.
