Appvia: Abstracting ‘Infrastructure as Code’ for Cloud-Native Teams

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

For enterprises deploying Kubernetes proofs of concept, leveraging an infrastructure as code tool to handle the configuration and deployment of workloads in managed Kubernetes environments is relatively straightforward.

Deploying to production, however, is a different matter. Now operators and developers alike must face multicluster scenarios, perhaps even across multicloud environments.

Appvia provides a cross-environment abstraction layer that simplifies and streamlines such deployments, as well as the ongoing operation of managed Kubernetes environments.

For example, Appvia handles the various identities, keys, and logins associated with various cloud providers and their associated resources.

Instead of scrambling for all of the identity and configuration differences associated with moving Kubernetes workloads from dev/test to production, Appvia provides a simple UI-based management interface as well as a CLI that raises the configuration of environments, workloads, and policies above infrastructure as code, in line with the business intent.
