SafeDeploy dramatically reduces the chance of software faults appearing in production by creating an alternate production deployment for automated testing.
This shadow system runs a copy of the application under test. The SafeDeploy platform collects the execution stream between the production UI and the underlying software services in real-time.
It then reproduces the stream on the parallel application hosting the updated version of the software, catching any exceptions or crashes anywhere in the application.
SafeDeploy is particularly useful in situations where the updated application and previous version of the application are mostly the same – a situation that describes most enterprise software deployment scenarios.
SafeDeploy also relies upon traditional QA techniques for functional testing, instead catching issues like uncaught exceptions and hanging code.
